OBJECTIVE:

• To develop a practical comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, assessment and management of bronchial asthma that could be applied at all health care levels.
• To promote accurate diagnosis and classification of bronchial asthma and its severity. To develop a management plan based on the rationality of this approach.
• To recognize, classify and manage acute exacerbation effectively.
• To promote the essential educational elements about the disease to both health workers, patients and their relatives.
• To lay a foundation that can provide good information about the disease.
